For our last lesson before the break, we discuss positive self-talk. Self-talk is the inner voice that goes on inside our heads throughout our waking hours. Positive self-talk is when we talk to ourselves in a reassuring, kind, and more optimistic way. Positive self-talk can have a big impact on how we think and feel. Over time, engaging in more positive self-talk can help reduce stress, improve self-esteem, increase motivation, inspire productivity, and improve overall mental and physical health.

We transition from bulllying prevention to learning about how to tame our anger. We focus on how our brain can react to anger and how to bring ourselves back to a neutral mindset. Our older students were introduced to the abcde method to help unflip our lids! While our younger students listened to a story that focused on breathing and sitting with our anger to make it seem less controlling.
